I'm expecting in dec, other half has come up with Bear or Body for first names! Ever heard of these (apart from Bear Gryllis!).

He’s called Edward, Bear is a nickname.

IckleBear · 16/11/2019 09:01

Ohh, zombie thread!!!

IckleBear · 16/11/2019 09:00

Too weird..

BonBon411 · 16/11/2019 00:51

People will be glancing at others sideways when they hear these weird names.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 15/11/2019 23:49

Zombie 🧟‍♂️. Little Bear or Body will be about 9-10 years old now

lowlandLucky · 15/11/2019 23:45

If you love your child DONT call it body. Maybe you could call it Brodie instead

Bluerussian · 15/11/2019 21:52

Yes, Dylan is my favourite of those.
I'm seriously wondering how I found this thread, it happened by accident and I didn't notice how old it was!

diddlediddle · 15/11/2019 21:49

Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne's son is called Bear. It's dreadful.

Bodhi I actually quite like, with that spelling.
Brodie is also nice.
Dylan is great

Bluerussian · 15/11/2019 20:53

No thank you. Particularly not 'body'. Anyway the situation will have long since been resolved, I didn't realise this was an old thread.

I did know someone called 'Jealous', I kid you not.

skihorse · 25/10/2009 17:40

Bode (bodie) as in Bode Miller? Champion skiier and general bad boy?

seeker · 25/10/2009 08:43

Edward - Bear for nick name.

Bodie if you must - but not Body. It will be mispronounced accidentally or on purpose for his whole life.

GibbonWithAnAppleBobbingBibOn · 25/10/2009 08:28

Conjures up images of 70's TV/film

I vote no.

piscesmoon · 25/10/2009 08:18

Yes-don't do it.

LowLevelWhingeing · 25/10/2009 08:03

There is a Bodhi/Bodie (?) at my DC's nursery.

it always makes me think of The Professionals

pugwash · 25/10/2009 07:57

Yes I think he was going for the spiritual aspect.

Horatio is unusual We both used to work on the ship that Hornblower was filmed on, so nice connection.

ThePinkOne · 24/10/2009 22:44

Horatio, pugwash?

choosyfloosy · 24/10/2009 22:39

erm, Bodhisattva? Well... wouldn't choose it myself.

Depends if he's going for the spiritual aspect or the name of the Patrick Swayze character in Point Break. In either case, Patrick strikes me as an excellent choice, being both a saint and a star.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 24/10/2009 22:38

Bodie not too bad. Bear is terrible.

Here's a name I heard recently and I think it's quite cool (at least on the guy in question): Radcliffe.

pugwash · 24/10/2009 22:34

Hmm good excuse to watch point break I have a friend with 10 brothers and sisters and one of her brothers is Neptune and another is Trafalgar. I suppose that traf could be a shortened version? not sure about Neptune!

pugwash · 24/10/2009 22:31

Ah Bodhi, I prefer it when I see it spelt like that. I didn't know Mr Grylls wasn't actually called bear!

I remember a boyd on neighbours.

Albion is quite nice but as I work on big grey ships like that it's a bit too work orientated!!

sweetnitanitro · 24/10/2009 21:43

Bodhi/Bodie/Body to me will always be the Patrick Swayze character in Point Break. Is Bear really a name? I thought it was a nickname.

overmydeadbody · 24/10/2009 21:42

How about Tempest? I know a Tempest.

overmydeadbody · 24/10/2009 21:41

Body (as in Bodie) sounds like a possible characted on Home and Away or Neighbors.

overmydeadbody · 24/10/2009 21:40

Bear is a nickname, even Mr. Gryllis isn't actually called bear you know.

Heated · 24/10/2009 21:38
