Would love to know whay "type" of names people give their dcs - i.e. if people stick to the same thrend or style of name for their DC so they flow well together or if it doesnt really make a difference at all.

I'm due number 2 in January and am almost decided on a name, but have found myself coming to decision by trying all names with dds. Just wondering what others do...

Would love to steal hear some...

Don't think it matters too much if names "go together", as long as they're not too similar. I like both Ellie and Kelly but since Ellie has already been used, Kelly most probably won't...

Josephine Eleanor (wanted to call her Isabelle but married a man whose surname was Bell, and thank goodness she was a girl as he was determined to call a boy Kenneth and I hated it!)
Isaac Matthew - definitely for the biblical meaning.

Met a woman at baby massage who called her son Otis. Asked her if it was her or her DH who liked the music and it turned out it was the make of the lift that went up to the maternity ward in our local hospital!

I am really impressed with the variety of lovely names! I had expected lots of Jacks, Graces and other top 10 names but it seems that we mumsnetters are quite 'adventerous'! .
