Would love to know whay "type" of names people give their dcs - i.e. if people stick to the same thrend or style of name for their DC so they flow well together or if it doesnt really make a difference at all.

I'm due number 2 in January and am almost decided on a name, but have found myself coming to decision by trying all names with dds. Just wondering what others do...

Would love to steal hear some...

Lewis James Noah Rhys

Lewis is after my great grandma (Louisa) and my grandad (James).

Noah is just cos i love it and dh picked Rhys (he wanted it as a 1st name but i got my way with Noah )

my girls names each time were:

Emilia Frances
Mavis Daisy
Zelda Frances

as you can see, i rather like Frances,and clearly, had I had a girl at any point we wouldn't have used it twice lol
I wanted it as a first name but dp was notkeen

Oh my mum made me laugh the other da, DS2 Dexter had gone on the slide but she couldn't see him from where she was, it was really crowded and she panicked, got in a kerfuffle and shouted

'Sexter'

at the top of her voice

So a welsh and biblical thing going on. Also each has at least one name connecting them to family. (Isaac would have been Elijah if I had had my way)

dd born in 07 is Lily Catherine Ann. Lily because we liked it, the next two are my grandmother and my mil's names.

My dc's are

Skye Laura (2000)

Max Edward (2007)

Both middle names have family connections.

Skye is where dh's family originally came from.

Max is a name that can be shouted really loudly when necessary

Really wanted Erin, but dh's cousin used it first. Max is just Max, not Maximus, Maxwell etc.
