Girl's name inspired by Glastonbury festival

I know the MN consensus on silly names, just humour me I'm looking for a pretty word that could possibly be a girl's name (rather than a girl's name connected with the festival iyswim). Best I can do so far are Pear (as in cider) or Rain. Anyone more inspired than me?

Someone on a Glastonbury message board discussing being preggers at Glasto had a DD called Avalon Constance, Avalon after the festival!

lowrib · 26/08/2009 13:08

Ooh what about my DP's invention, Decibelle (or Decibella).

He was very serious about this suggestion for our DC (he works in the music industry)
We had a boy, so never actually had to have that discussion! I think he'd be absolutely delighted if someone actually used it.

I always quite liked Serendipity when it was on Neighbours (sad, I know) - shortened to Ren.
What about Puddle?
or Tent?

I think I prefer Pear to Rain too. Rain sounds so sad.

ravenAK it's for a currently-unconceived but potentially real DD, maybe. DH and I are fans of the silly middle name, as you hardly ever use it anyway. DD is named after my grandmothers and has the middle name Moth (the name my mum's mum is known by), which was roundly lambasted on here but which I love. I thought maybe DD2 should have a random noun for a middle name too, and the Glastonbury thing was because that's where DH and I met

JRocks Juvenile is fine I'm suprised no one's suggested Portaloo yet ...

How about a Goddess names which is to do with music?

e.g.

Bast (Egyptian) - The famous cat Goddess, she protected pregnant woman and children. Bast was a very sensual Goddess who enjoyed music, dance and perfume. Her name comes from the bas jars used to store perfumes and ointments. Other versions of this Goddess name's include: Bastet, Baset, Ubasti and Pasht.

Ceridwen (Celtic) - Goddess of moon, magic, agriculture, nature, poetry language, music, art, science and astrology. She was also keeper of the cauldron. Her name means ?chiding love.? Cerridwen, Caridwen, Kerritwen, Keridwen, Kyrridwen are other variations of her name.

Hathor (Egyptian) - This heavenly cow's areas of influence included music, dancing, joy and fertility. Her name translates as "house of Horus". Alternative names for this Goddess are Het-Hert, Hetheru, Mehturt, Mehurt, Mehet-Weret, and Mehet-uret,

Arimathea

From the Glastonbury festival website

"The Festival takes place in a beautiful location - 900 acres in the Vale of Avalon, an area steeped in symbolism, mythology and religious traditions dating back many hundreds of years. It's where King Arthur may be buried, where Joseph of Arimathea is said to have walked, where leylines converge."

ravenAK · 26/08/2009 00:19

Oooh, is this for a novel, or for a real dc?

I'd go Arthurian: Morgaine, Elaine, Yseult, Guinevere.

Or maybe comedy new age: Solstice, Chalice, Incense.

Actually, Chalice is growing on me...

DitaVonCheese · 26/08/2009 00:07

Hmm, I'm quite liking Wellington

SilentBob My mum - who is not usually one for unusual names - was very keen on Muddy for DD (had she been a DS I think). Vetoed on grounds she was unlikely to be a blues singer
