Need boy and girl Cornish names - suggestions and opinions please!

Expecting dc2 in September, already have DS with cornish name beginning with J. We want to continue with the Cornish thing if possible but haven't been struck by anything as yet. Any thoughts?

I know of two Cornish children named Fior (boy) and Ylyn (sp?) (girl).

there is celtic baby name book which lists all celtic names as scottish, irish, welsh and cornish. Worth a look.

Erm... I can't remember, the whole shebang was the 'Cornwall Coliseum' which sounds rather more grand than it was... and now it's 'luxury homes' with a private beach. Handy.

spudmasher - - I went to the roller disco there at about 13! The problem with some of the place name ones is that when you live in Cornwall it seems a bit weird, as opposed to if you move away and want to keep a connection.

Demelza wasn't a name until the book, it was a place. Nice though.

Tamsin is Cornish I think.

I like Denzil, but after Jethro's 'Denzil Penberthy' character would be worried people might think he was a bit dim. And don't want Den as nickname. Crap, that rules that out then.

I had a giggle at some of those on the list being of Cornish origin....eg Carlyon= crap fake beach where I went to see the Blowmonkies age 13.
