Good solid boys names, like James and Thomas... but not them?

I like James and Thomas, but can't have them as other family members have already nabbed them! Any suggestions for similar traditional, "solid" boys names? TIA x

If you look to the traditional Catholic names you can side step the royal connection. What about;

Nicholas
Lawrence
Benedict
Francis
Patrick

Harold
Alfred
Philip
Joseph
Andrew

You're going to struggle with trad boys names then.

Thanks everyone. I really like William, but my DH can't get past the royal connection (and can't bear the royal family!)
