Great name. Better than any other Elizabeth related names, IMO.

ilovemydogandmrobama · 12/08/2009 22:07

love it.

RedLollyYellowLolly · 12/08/2009 22:07

I don't think it's "twee". If anything negative needed to be said I would say "old fashioned, bordering on trying to be trendy".

It's also my DD's middle name and was very nearly her first name (main point of contention being an abbreviation we both liked) and if hypothetical DC2 is a girl I will regret not saving it.

My name is Eliza - and I am grateful to ma & pa - I love it, and always have!

KERALA1 · 25/07/2009 14:10

NormaSknockers · 25/07/2009 13:48

It's my nieces middle name, very pretty but does make me think of My Fair Lady

maggievirgo · 25/07/2009 13:02

cheesesarnie · 25/07/2009 13:01

TwoHot · 25/07/2009 12:58

I think Doolittle.

2Eliza2 · 24/07/2009 22:42

Obviously it's a fantastic name. ;)

SloogBoog · 24/07/2009 22:40

It's lovely. My partner always thinks of Eliza Doolittle though. I think of Elizabeth Bennett in Pride and Prejudice tho - whose name is often shortened to Eliza. Beautiful, IMHO.

SparkyMalarky · 24/07/2009 15:59

oh love love it

monkeyfeathers · 24/07/2009 15:58

My friend just called her daughter Eliza. It is possibly a bit twee, but I think it really suits my friend's family and it's a nice name.

tulip27 · 24/07/2009 15:51

My DD'S name so obviously love it.

BintOfBohemia · 24/07/2009 15:47

I love it, if DS2 had been a girl he may well have been one.

teddygirl23 · 24/07/2009 15:46

love it i think its going to be a very popular one soon.

liliputlady · 23/07/2009 22:42

It's lovely; old people like me wouldn't be able to resist calling her "Eliza Doolittle", but don't suppose that's the end of the world.

3seater · 23/07/2009 22:35

beautiful name.

yogabird · 23/07/2009 22:19

Zebraa · 23/07/2009 22:19
