Bailey is a boys name
others ok but not great
Isla nice but quite popular now

hoping4thebest · 16/07/2009 20:43

Elizabeth is such a lovely name and if dd wants a change, there are sooooo many nicknames from it.
DD has Elizabeth as her middle name.

piscesmoon · 16/07/2009 20:38

Elizabeth and Rebecca only. (not Rebekah, and she will have a lifetime of having to spell it for everyone.)

Katz · 16/07/2009 20:37

Annelise - fab name although i'm slightly biased on this one as i have an Annalise!
Bailey - is a drink
Isla - is getting over used, we know of more than 2 in our circle of friends
Elizabeth - DD1 would have been this if it hadn't been a jubilee year
Valentina - don't like
Marissa - but of an old women name
Rebekah - like this

Hulababy · 16/07/2009 20:34

DH's swedish cousin is called Annalisa, which is similar.

Hulababy · 16/07/2009 20:33

Annelise - friend's DD is Annalise, shortned by some to Anna. Pretty name

Bailey - I don't like this, sorry. Also thought it was used more commonly for boys.

Isla - nice

Elizabeth - nice, classic name

Valentina - don't like, sorry

Marissa - don't like, sorry

Rebekah - I prefer Rebecca

nigglewiggle · 16/07/2009 20:30

Annelise - Neighbours circa 1989
Bailey - on ice please
Isla - lovely
Elizabeth - classic and good for nicknames
Valentina - too flouncy
Marissa - wishy washy
Rebekah - prefer Rebecca

SoWhat · 16/07/2009 20:30

Isla is the only one I like. Bailey is a dog's name.

Rindercella · 16/07/2009 20:29

Isla and Marissa are nice. Not so keen on the rest (and really, really dislike Bailey).

ilikeyoursleeves · 16/07/2009 20:29

Annelise- reminds me of a character in Neighbours

Bailey- I thought this was a boys name?

Isla- lovely!

Elizabeth- bit 'old' IMO

Valentina- nope

Marissa- I love this, Italian I think but really nice

Rebekah- OK as long as spelled Rebecca

HTH

Lizzylou · 16/07/2009 20:27

I Like

Elizabeth
Isla

Not sure on Valentina, not keen at all on the others (prefer Rebecca).

jkklpu · 16/07/2009 20:25

Isla and Elizabeth - great
prefer Rebecca
others - not a fan

bellissima · 16/07/2009 13:48

Sorry, meant 'Anneli-zeh' (Scandinavian). Just think the Dutch variant a more delicate sound.

bellissima · 16/07/2009 13:44

Bailey sounds more like a girls' Christmas drink. or a surname.

Don't like Valentina but the rest fine. Prefer Annelies (Dutch) to Annelies-eh (Scandinavian) but I suppose it depends on your background.

cazzybabs · 16/07/2009 13:23

Annelise - like
Bailey - no
Isla yes
Elizabeth - yes
Valentina - on
Marissa - OK
Rebekah - no, well it is better than Valentine and Bailey
