Can I ask your opinion on this shortlist of boys names?

Hi, if you have a mo can I ask what one of the following names you like best...

Zachary Alexander McColl (known as Zach)
Alexander Ray McColl
Benjamin Ray McColl (known as Ben)
Benjamin Alexander McColl
Daniel Alexander McColl

If you have any other suggestions / combinations feel free to share, thanks!

I love Zachary the best, but am biased as have 9 week old one myself!

BTW his middle name is Daniel, after DH so I like that a lot too!!

I actually like all your choices- very nice names for babies, teens or grown men IMO.

Hi I think they're all quite lovely names. You do need to think of the initials though ...

Zachary Alexander McColl = ZAM (Zammo c/o Grange hill? - quite cool I suppose if you remember that far back)

Alexander Ray McColl (ARM ?? )

Benjamin Ray McColl - I like this one and Ray is a really nice name esp for the reason chosen (Could be B-ray for gangsta rap name !)

Benjamin Alexander McColl (BAM?? )

Daniel Alexander McColl (DAM?? not so good maybe Alexnder Daniel McColl would work better here.)

Suppose only you can decide what's most important but they are all nice names.

Love Daniel and Benjamin (my brother and cousin's names, DS2 is Benedict).

Although having ZAM as initials is swaying me

Ahhh Ray Davies! Actually Daniel Ray or Benjamin Ray has a nice ring to it!

If my DH had featured his fave bands singer as a middle name our DS would be Daniel Terry (Hall) lol!

I love Zachary (but it doesn't flow too well with Alexaner, not sure if it really matters anyway, I doubt you'll be using both names, right?)

I KNOW THIS IS VERY HIPPY OF ME BUT I LOVE THE NAME RAYNE, RAY FOR SHORT AND TO MIX THINGS UP I LIKE DANIEL RAY. IT REMINDS ME OF SOMEONE REALLY LOVELY I KNOW.

Ray isn't a family name- DH would love it to feature somewhere cos it's after Ray Davies the Kinks lead singer, his all time favourite band!!!

He wasn't allowed to give DS1 the middle name 'Noddy' (as in Holder as in Slade) so I thought I might just let Ray feature this time

I think that Benjamin Alexander McColl sounds good. It flows nicely.

Benjamin Alexander, definitely.

Although might be prejudiced as ds2 was going to be Benjamin but ended up as Alexander Benedict.

So obviously a fab name.

Is the name Ray after a family member? Its quite different from your other choices.

Really like Zachary Alexander McColl!!! I have an Isaac so maybe I'm slightly biased, but he is an "Isaac" with the option of Zach when he's older.
