We love Hazel and Elsie but need a lovely name with different first letter.

dd1's name starts with 'E' - dd2's name starts with 'H'. We have a family middle name so if we chose either Hazel or Elsie for dd3 then 2 dd's would have exactly the same initials. Can you think of another pretty name like the above? Preferably something that won't be shortened, perhaps a bit old-fashioned. Thanks.

thank you, some great suggestions but still stuck on Hazel . I also quite like Lillian but best friends little girl is Lily and I think the names are too close.

Elsie is lovely and Hazel nice too. I think all the names I was going to suggest have already been mentioned!
I love Cecily (have one myself), also Ivy, Violet, Iris, Florence, Beatrice, Audrey, Polly.

I know what you mean about the initials. We have an Elliot, and are quite keen on another E name for DC2, if it's a boy. DH doesn't think it's a problem, both he and his brother have G names, but I'm not convinced.

How about Laurel?

Mmmmm, Lois is good too.

I knew a girl whose parents chose names that couldn't be shortened: she was Joy and her sister was Ruth.

too many Maisies around here for some reason. Caroline is lovely , also Cecily but have a feeling dh would come up with the usual 'but I can't spell it' . Good suggestions, thanks.

Iris is lovely, as is Maisie

Beatrice
Imogen
Cecily

all a bit traditional, and can be shortened but wouldn't necessarily be

Caroline extremely underused imo
