Which (if any) of my boys names gets your vote...?

I have now been struggling to choose between these boys names for weeks. Going slowly but definetely mad. I've been waking up every morning with these names going round and round in my head. I have niggling doubts for each but I AM happy that this is the final shortlist.

My dd1 is Grace. So, go on, please put me out of my misery! Which of these would you choose for Grace's little brother and why?

Felix
Louis (pronounced Loo-ee)
Oscar

I like all 3. Classic but not overly common. I would look up the manings of the names and then choose the whose meaning I like the best. I'm big meanings. I used to like the name Doug. ANd then I looked it up and found it menat "from the dark water" and that was the end of Doug.

Oscar gets my vote.

gillybeanie · 29/06/2009 17:29

Oscar
Grace and Oscar sound lovely x x

MaryBS · 29/06/2009 16:24

Felix (although it still makes me think of a cartoon cat!)

pluto · 29/06/2009 16:20

Felix or Oscar. Not Louis.

ludog · 29/06/2009 15:49

Of the 3 names Louis is my favourite.I know a few Louis and never heard it pronounced anything but Loo ee. As has already been said Lewis is Loo is!

TabithaTwitchet · 29/06/2009 15:47

Definitely Louis!

Nikna · 29/06/2009 15:28

Felix is on my list, but not allowed it beacuse DH thinks of the cat.

Carens · 29/06/2009 15:20

Louis ......then again im irish

i also adore Sean Conor Gerard Padraig

mrsradders · 29/06/2009 14:50

felix xx

Jumente · 29/06/2009 13:11

Louis, Oh yes. Great with Grace

lljkk · 29/06/2009 13:11

I do like Grace.
I don't warm to any of the boy choices (sorry, but I assume you want honesty!). Oscar I like least, I always think of Oscar the Grouch on Seseme Street. Felix is a cat or screams upper class to my ears. So I guess Louis is best one (BUT my brother was Louis, and he has always HATED it, has gone by his middle name most his life instead).

yama · 29/06/2009 13:10

I think Oscar goes with Grace the best.

TrinityRhino · 29/06/2009 13:06

yes I know that it is the correct pronunciation but unless you are in france I reckon alot of people will assume wrongly that is is loo-is

Its not nice as loo-ee anyway
I would prefer lewis

but really oscar is the best

TwoSunnyDays · 29/06/2009 12:56

Louis, because the others are cats names (for me anyway)

Thunderduck · 29/06/2009 11:57

I like Felix and Oscar but not Louis.

fizzpops · 29/06/2009 11:47

I like all the names.

Oscar and Grace sounds cool
Felix and Grace - a bit harder to pronounce, Grace and Felix also sounds a bit awkward to me.
Louis and Grace/ Grace and Louis - not keen on the combination, but fwiw I think it should be pronounced Loo-ee (Lewis is Loo-is).

thisisyesterday · 29/06/2009 11:44

louis is pronounced loo-ee though!

loo-is is Lewis

missmem · 29/06/2009 11:44

Definitely Felix. Oscar is nice but very common and Louis may sound a bit gay when he is older although I still like it.

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 29/06/2009 11:42

Don't understand the comment about pronunciation. Isn't Loo-ee the original, correct (French) pronunciation? It's the people who insist on pronouncing it Loo-is, when they could just name the boy Lewis, who confuse everyone!

MadameCastafiore · 29/06/2009 11:41

Like Felix and Oscar - Louis is yuck!

Cies · 29/06/2009 11:41

Felix or Oscar.

preggersplayspop · 29/06/2009 11:40

I love them all, and were all on my list though my DH has veto'd them for various reasons unfortunately!

Out of all of them I would go for Felix first, then Oscar then Louis. Only because I know of a Louis who was Loo-is all his life and then decided to become Loo-ee for some strange reason and I kind of like names that can only be pronouced one way!

jellybeans · 29/06/2009 11:40

Oscar, not that keen on the others.
