Being serious though i really like the name Hermione Grace for DD3 due in sept...and daddy isn't directly against it his main concern is that it is maybe too Harry Potter...i wouldn't mind this comment if i was a big HP fan...oh and maybe a bit posh i am starting to feel really protective now..

on saturday i moaned about having 'Constant' Heartburn and Constance came out of his mouth....aaarrggghhhh i don't hate that but i do love Hermione...HELP

DD1 is called Lara Penelope (mainly dadies choice although i did say no to penelope as a first name..and yes he has played the tomb raider games although not the reason for name)

DD2 is Harriet Paige (Hattie) a fair joint decision

Help me before i go insane..we have asked DD1 what she thinks and she likes Hermione which i think should seal the deal to be honest.

Am i being unfair to dismiss his name choice...may beg whilst in labour

I prefer Constance.

whereeverIlaymyhat · 24/06/2009 14:53

I like Connie Frances, you'd have to wouldn't you

maxbear · 24/06/2009 12:03

I have got a Harriet and am thinking of Constance. Although I like Hermione I would never use the same initial especially for a same sex child as my sister and I had the same initial which I hated.

oliviasmama · 24/06/2009 04:41

Hermione is ok, Constance is lovely, as is Grace...my choice would be Constance Grace, so pretty.

nooka · 24/06/2009 04:26

I don't like Hermione at all. I think it sounds quite moany and is spelled weirdly. I also wouldn't have two with the same initial but it's probably not a big deal. Like your other names though (and Constance too )

kitsmummy · 23/06/2009 22:13

Hermione is the best name ever, nuff said

janeite · 23/06/2009 17:28

Hermione Granger is very cool - deffo a good character to be named after!

Firawla · 23/06/2009 16:24

As someone said what about Hermione Constance? That way both your choices get to be in there. I think Hermione is really pretty.

gladders · 23/06/2009 15:33

have a harriet (didn't realise it was posh??) and while i wouldn't be worried about having kids with the same initials, i do think harriet and hermione together sounds a bit full on?

i quite like hermione tbh but prefer constance.....

MrsToffeeCrisp · 23/06/2009 13:42

I love Hermione, if DS3 had been a girl it was our first choice. I worried about Harry Potter connection but she's a great character- intelligent, hard working, headstrong! All positive conotations. If you love it go for it - you can worry too much what others think (though obviously need DH on side!)

fucksticks · 23/06/2009 13:35

Constance Grace lovely and goes really well with your other names.
Hermione nice, but not as nice as Constance!

MmeLindt · 23/06/2009 13:24

Both our DC have the same initial and like Peachy says it does not cause any bother and is particularly good when handing down stuff as everything is labelled C

thell · 23/06/2009 13:21

It's lovely

How about Hermione Constance ?
I think it's nice

Tambajam · 23/06/2009 10:58

I like Hermione. Despite Harry Potter it doesn't seem to have caught on particularly. And she's a great character anyway.

feelinghunted · 23/06/2009 10:55

I think Harry Potter has ruined Hermione (and Harry, tho that wasn't the question!)

PeachyTheRiverParrettHarlot · 23/06/2009 09:25

(Headmistress said after ds4 was named - was it deliberate to have all S names then?'- er no, the one in your school is called Harold FGS!

PeachyTheRiverParrettHarlot · 23/06/2009 09:24

Two initials is a naming clothes and objects bonusIME- although my three @S' namea (have an H name also) don't all share initials- ds1 andds4 do though

Everything in thios house is either labelled S Peach (H goes to a different school) or The Peach Family

MamaLazarou · 23/06/2009 09:14

Hermione is way too posh for us: my husband is from Walthamstow.

However, as you already have a Harriet, I would assume you are quite posh, so go for it.

jellybeans · 22/06/2009 23:24

I don't like it, sorry. But like connie on its own.

janeite · 22/06/2009 19:35

Constance Grace is lovely.
Hermione Grace also lovely, though I agree with the the 'maybe avoid having two H names' suggestion.
I also really like Yolande Grace, which is in a similar style.

mandylifeboats · 22/06/2009 19:27

Constance is nice, but doesn't really sit as well with Grace as a middle name as Hermione does IYSWIM

screamingabdab · 22/06/2009 19:24

I much prefer Constance too, and it can be shortened to Connie. I am biased because it was my grandmother's name, and she was fab (lived to 97).

I think Hermione is a bit "posh" (sorry)

PeppermintCream · 22/06/2009 19:21

My sister is called hermione - Mione for short. She hated it at school because nobody had heard of it and always callled her Harmony. She loves it now, and so do I

cazzybabs · 22/06/2009 19:18

sweetfall - that is brilliant

sweetfall · 22/06/2009 19:10
