Which middle name though, and do you think it's a bit weird to have with older DD Hermione?

Middle names:

Kitty
Betsie
Mathilde
Mabel
Bellatrix

Is there a Bellatrix in H Potter then?

I knew someone would metion the onion thing! But it does sound nice, don't you think?

OP posts:
Sidge · 23/05/2009 22:17

Oh god no she'll get called Onion.

And it's far too similar to Hermione (which incidentally is much nicer).

How about Cassiopeia?

Flibbertyjibbet · 23/05/2009 22:14

oo-ee-non

thats how I saw it.

Well, after I clicked that it was actually a baby names thread and not someone asking about internet provider one&one.

Paolosgirl · 23/05/2009 22:09

She will spend her whole life spelling it/explaining how to pronounce it. As someone who has to do this daily with her surname, I can confirm that it's a bloody pain in the backside. Please don't do it to her!

NationalFlight · 23/05/2009 22:07

persephone.

also known as percy-phone.

NationalFlight · 23/05/2009 22:07

Kitty's nice on its own.

Sorry it's a blur of O's and N's to me

How do you say it? Hey-nonnie?

I really like Hermione. But Hermione and Oenone is silly imho.

If you want Greek how about Melissa? Daphne? Iris? Phoebe? Cassandra? Helen?

ScummyMummy · 23/05/2009 21:49

It was the Bellatrix in combo with Hermione that made me wonder!

There must be some other lovely Greek/Latin names, surely? Lydia? Octavia? Athene?

hobbgoblin · 23/05/2009 21:46

It does, doesn't it...ohhhhhhh!

Hermione despite never having read any JK in my life!

There is a Greek/Latin theme going on with the DC names so when considering Betsie and so on as first names it did jar a bit I think.

nickytwotimes · 23/05/2009 21:38

Not keen on it tbh.
Also, kind of rhymes with (the lovely) Hermione.

ScummyMummy · 23/05/2009 21:37

I think that is a bit too similar to Hermione, tbh. They'll get confused when they half hear you calling them from a distance, I think.

Are you a Harry Potter fan?

differentID · 23/05/2009 21:34

not Bellatrix!

nickytwotimes · 23/05/2009 21:34

I don't know how to pronounce it either.

hobbgoblin · 23/05/2009 21:34

Ee-no-nee

Someone on my other thread has a cousin named this and it's pronounced A-no-nee I think.

OP posts:
ScummyMummy · 23/05/2009 21:32

How do you pronounce it?
