Lee

And I'll fall in love with one of them >

Been there, done that as we're also a Lee family, although spelt differently. We had Isaac Jack lined up for DD, but Joshua was a close contender too. Agree that it needs to be a two syllable name and also needs to be a strong sounding name as Lee kind of peeters out as a sound IYSWIM.

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 12/05/2009 15:55

Nicholas! Why didn't I think of that?

Tortington · 12/05/2009 15:31

Jonas

mouseman · 12/05/2009 15:29

Be careful with William - if its shortened you'll have Will Lee!

noddyholder · 12/05/2009 15:18

Max Robert William Jude

sockmonster · 12/05/2009 15:16

I have a friend named Tristan and he's fantastic, I love the name Tristan. It's a classic and classy name. Or Sebastian, or Nicholas, or Joshua. Zachariah could work with your surname too.

EyeballsisonaDietAgain · 12/05/2009 15:02

Ooh my friend's DH is Lynden. Really like it.

merryberry · 12/05/2009 14:44

Linden

am going to suggest it to everyone in need of boys name until someone uses it (was only allowed it for middle name, ds2)

annasmami · 12/05/2009 14:40

I would chose a two syllable name. Anything shorter does't sound good with Lee imo, and a longer name will be shortened.

For example, Seb Lee or Dom Lee doesn't sound that great imo.

Two syllable names that I think sound good with Lee include:

Quentin Lee
Arthur Lee
Tristan Lee

tummytickler · 12/05/2009 14:31

Oh I LOVE Stewart Lee - he is a bit of a cruch of mine - lush!

i love Sebastian Lee, I think that sounds lovely.

Sorry for repeats but also

Alfred

jellybeans · 12/05/2009 14:05

ahh should say Seb (sorry have baby on lap)

jellybeans · 12/05/2009 14:04

Just realised I suggested Leo Lee

I know a Sebastian, he is never called Se but it could happen.

I like Ted but not Edward.

What about...

Matthew
Adam
William
Cameron
Ross
Patrick
Ryan
Samuel
Marcus
Nicholas
George
Curtis
Kieran
Conor

malenagrrl · 12/05/2009 14:04

BeautifulBubbles, I have to agree with your husband. I don't see the point either. Couldn't you call him Ted something (ie Ted Alexander) so he has a choice of name later in life? he might think Alexander is nicer and use it for intance.

BeautifulBubbles · 12/05/2009 13:59

I like

Edward (esp. as ted as nn) but DH doesnt. He doesnt understnd why you would formally call a child one thing but use another in everyday life.

Sebastian but not Seb

Tristan - but everyone tells me its 'poncey'

Hmmm... Stuart Lee. I oved his comedy vehicle .

The name to avoid is Joe as when put with the surname is a little too like the Dolly Parton classic, and also Angelina's suname, could be potential for silly name calling.

Leon Lee or Leo Lee are just asking for it too.

Many of MadBadandDangerousToKnow's suggestions would work well being 3 syllables or more. I espcially like Sebastian Lee, William Lee and Nathaniel Lee.

MadreInglese · 12/05/2009 13:52

oooh yes, Henry is lovely

VinegarTits · 12/05/2009 13:52

Avoid names that sound like surnames too, or they will get confused at the doctors surgery

Austin Lee would read 'Lee Austin' to a not so bright receptionist

Fimbo · 12/05/2009 13:51

Sebastian
Edward
Philip
Joseph
Oscar
Myles
Henry
George

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 12/05/2009 13:46

Dominic is very good, I think.

With Lee I think you need a longer first name, so how about

Tristan
Sebastian
Robert
Timothy
Joshua
Nathaniel
Daniel
William
Joseph

I agree about avoiding the -ee sound, otherwise I'd have suggested Stanley.

MadreInglese · 12/05/2009 13:46

Joseph
Edward
Ryan
Benjamin
Patrick
Seth

ben5 · 12/05/2009 13:45

Benjamin
james
zach

malenagrrl · 12/05/2009 13:44

I also like Noah and Theo !!

MrsKitty · 12/05/2009 13:44

Mark/Marcus
Matthew
Michael

Agree with previous posters - nothing ending in an "ee" sound

malenagrrl · 12/05/2009 13:43

I know a Jamie Parker Lee. I think it has a nice ring to it and he is a very sweet boy, now aged 9.

What kind of name do you want? classic, trendy, out there names??

A list of the names I quite like:

Ethan, Leon or Leo, Sebastian, Ben (or Benjamin), Dylan, Jamie, Zack or Zach, Tyler (not sure if would use it tho...), Joshua (too popular but nice), Matthias, Matthieu or Olivier (if you like french names), Reece, Alexander... and more!

MadreInglese · 12/05/2009 13:43

ok scrap Jacob
