There was an owl in The Herbs called Sage. I just checked with dh and he said it was a boy. So no, sorry.

seeker · 01/05/2009 20:37

Why?

Fillyjonk · 01/05/2009 20:31

think its great

no its not pretty

it has actual character

DuffyFluckling · 01/05/2009 18:02

I love it.

Was one of my top names for dd but dh wasn't sure.

rek21 · 01/05/2009 18:00

It's a great name, it can really grow with the child too, I know a teenage sage who is really grounded with a great dry sense of humour, I couldn't imagine her as a lavender. Not that there's anything wrong with lavender as such...

pranma · 01/05/2009 16:20

Bryony?
Tansy?

Gillyan · 01/05/2009 14:34

and onion stuffing! Sorry, it's the first that springs to mind when you sage.

dizzydixies · 30/04/2009 21:49

Saffron?

I know a Briar too and she's wild

janx · 30/04/2009 21:40

I knew someone who dated someone called ...wait for it...Sage Balls ...I kid you not

Mulanmum1 · 30/04/2009 21:27

Sage? No.

pointydog · 30/04/2009 21:16

I'm a rather fat feathery owl called Sage
I'm not very happy, in fact in a rage

duchesse · 30/04/2009 21:03

Artemis? It's one of the Latin names for wormwood, which is a pretty but rather poisonous medicinal herb.

Sidge · 30/04/2009 20:59

Hmm it's a bit nondescript isn't it?

I know a Briar, that's pretty I think and quite unusual.

FrannyandZooey · 30/04/2009 20:58

i like it, it was on my list
i also like sorrel and rowan

duchesse · 30/04/2009 20:55

Sorrel?

duchesse · 30/04/2009 20:46

Coriander?

BunnyLebowski · 30/04/2009 20:43

Lol jam butty

McDreamy · 30/04/2009 20:42

not sure think there are prettier names out there!

jambutty · 30/04/2009 20:41

Onion for a boy, then.

bran · 30/04/2009 20:41

It depends on your surname IMO, if your surname begins with S then Sage could work well. I like it as it's not overly girly.

BunnyLebowski · 30/04/2009 20:40

Want to like it......but keep thinking of stuffing

Toni Collette has a Sage.

Love Clover and Willow though and Rosemary too.

janeite · 30/04/2009 20:28

Ah - thank you!

BeehiveBaby · 30/04/2009 20:26

Cicely is a herb

bargainhuntingbetty · 30/04/2009 20:21
