Ok... can you find me a traditional girl's name of 2/3 syllables that shortens to a name of 2 syllables which ends in an 'ee' sound?

Ok have probably confused you all!

DS1 is called William, but known as Billy.

Would like a girl's name that can be shortened to a name that goes with Billy.

Eg. Charlotte - Lottie
Eleanor - Ellie
Victoria - Vicky (although I don't like this one it's a good example!)

my DD is Madeleine. The association is definately over. DD is the same age so we had a lot of fuss and stuff at the time but it is a non issue now.
Although we call her by her full name and no one shortens it - although if you did I am sure others would.

I have never regretted choosing it - shes a lovely girl and it suits her.

Was going to say Harriet - we have a harriet and she only answers to Harriet but people have called her both Hatty and Harry in the past.

Millicent has to be a favourite. Sounds very sweet and traditional both in its formal version and when shortened to Millie

If you like Maddie but aren't sure on using Madeleine you could use Madison- although that is very popular at the moment.
