Hi All,

We are having Ellen Rose as middle-names for our little girl, due in 5 weeks, but can't decide on a first name. We'd like something unusual but pretty, that goes with these names. Any ideas?

Possibles so far:-

Elesha
Talia
Lily
Sophia

I went for the name 'Aoife' pronounced Ee-fa because my husband is irish but also because i thought it was unusual and pretty. Her middle name is 'Mai'. So i am biased but i think it goes well with your middle names as well as fulfilling all your criteria.

Or another thought the welsh spelling of Alice- Alys

Like Lydia

Amelie, Charlotte, Alicia (a-liss-ee-a, not aleeesha), Alice.

Favourite from your list is Sophia, but I don't think it flows fantastically with Ellen Rose as middle names. Talia is better with those middle names. Try a first name with an 'L'in it.

My nan was Alice Ellen Rose

I like very much

We considered Taya / Thea if ds4 had been a dd to go with Nan's names

I would avoid Lily or other flower names with Rose as a middle name already. Penelope Ellen sounds a bit "nnnnnnn".

Talia and Tahlia are the same name Hebrew meaning Dew from Heaven, Talia more popular in the US.

Thalia is Greek and I cannot remember the meaning.
