I want the poshest name I can get away with . OK don't all murder me at once for having asked. I'd be so embarrassed saying that out loud in real life.

I'm called one of these 3 names Sharon/Dawn/Tracey (don't want to narrow down my identity too much). I've always hated revealing my name.

Your thoughts please?

Okay - I take back Bernadette. I do not know many posh girls - or dinner ladies!

suwoo · 19/04/2009 19:38

My 2 DC's are on the posh lists .

DS2 is going to be Felix.

wombleprincess · 19/04/2009 19:36

bernadette is not posh... surely not.. always makes me think of dinner ladies.

janeite · 19/04/2009 19:31

Lol at Alice and Isobel being posh as I have both! And I am really, really not posh!

Posh boys' names that I love:
Sebastian
Laurence
Barnaby
Algernon - would never be brave enough to use it though
Hector
Peregrine - again, wouldn't use it
Monty
Maximillian

Posh girls' names that aren't too hideous -
Portia
Ophelia
Bernadette

wombleprincess · 19/04/2009 19:23

that said, if you arent posh and use a really posh name (like pergrine, or portia or something), people will just think you are trying to be posh, and then they'll just take the piss out of DC. sorry, its a fine line....

and sorry, mrswoolf.. Iphigenia is that really a name? sounds like a computer programme!
