An old friend in the US has named her baby daughter McCaa. The only reason I know it's a girl is because her middle name is Laura!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Have heard of siblings called Otto and Ottoline... not great for the boy and just awful for the girl!

Supercherry · 29/03/2009 19:56

oldspeckledtam · 29/03/2009 19:34

Lockets, the Cash I know isn't short for anything. I quite like it as a nickname!

I'm just remembered a great one - Satin Heaven. WTF?!

And also saw a little girl at storytime at the library called Laud. I've never heard it before but actually I quite like it.

londonone · 29/03/2009 12:58

Thunderduck · 29/03/2009 11:31

I read of a boy called Jackie Chan Ninja Soulblade once, in a magazine when readers were asked to write about their child's unusual name.

TheLadyEvenstar · 29/03/2009 09:58

Wispa, SE London does seem common for strange unusual names doesn't it.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 29/03/2009 07:18

i heard someone calling 'Tresemmé' at the softplay yesterday-maybe she had lost her shampoo though!

Wispabarsareback · 29/03/2009 05:33

Oh yes, I also know of a Destiny and a Triumph.

Thinking about it I've come across all sorts of v strange names - it's par for the course where I live in SE London!

Wispabarsareback · 29/03/2009 05:31

There was a little girl at DD1's nursery called Blessing. She was very sweet - and I guess she'll grow up knowing just how much her parents wanted her!

LargeGlassofRed · 29/03/2009 03:55

Dd2 has a girl called sprite in her class.
