Audrey Marie Hill.
It's not too old fashioned is it?

I'm not keen on Audrey but think Marie is lovely.

carolinecordery · 30/03/2009 08:15

I think it sounds clumsy to have 2 syllables followed by 2 syllables

slim22 · 30/03/2009 05:11

Love it

ZacharyQuack · 30/03/2009 04:42

I like it, Audrey Marie sounds lovely together.

Disclaimer: I'm not in Britain so I'm not getting an old lady vibe at all.

jabberwocky · 30/03/2009 02:23

I immediately thought of Audrey Hepburn as well. Very pretty name as well as classic.

pandavark · 30/03/2009 02:18

thanks for replying to you all. i think the ones who don't like it, especially in britain, are thinking of an old granny like audrey roberts from coronation st, whereas i get a pretty image like audrey hepburn or audrey tautou. i first thought of it because my favourite film character is the delectable audrey horne from twin peaks. i'm really rethinking it now because of all the negative comments though!

I'm not too keen on it tbh. If you like the sound, is Audra or Audria Marie Hill any better? (I don't much like that either actually

SoupDragon · 29/03/2009 20:34

"Don't let people put you off"

Would be kind of pointless asking for opinions then wouldn't it?

MrsMattie · 29/03/2009 19:42

I like Audrey. Sweet. And I'm not usually a fan of old lady names.

BabyBaby123 · 29/03/2009 19:41

awful

NorktasticNinja · 29/03/2009 19:29

It's a great name! Don't let people put you off. I love Audrey, it was on our list but DC2 is going to be a boy.

SoupDragon · 29/03/2009 19:27

Don't like Audrey at all. It sounds very dour.

Supercherry · 29/03/2009 19:25

I know a Marie Hill, she is lovely. Audrey is a nice name too. Not 100% sure Audrey Marie goes together- think it is a little bit of a mouthful.

Funnybunnyyumyum · 28/03/2009 20:44

Audrey is lovely! Go for it. Yes, old fashioned but all those old names are making a comeback.

jellybeans · 27/03/2009 20:47

too old fashioned

RachieB · 26/03/2009 22:25

dizzydixies · 26/03/2009 20:49

RockinSockBunnies · 26/03/2009 20:48

Yes - I think Audrey sounds great! Quite refined and classic!

pandavark · 26/03/2009 20:46

yeah i'm not into the old fashioned names trend really. I just think audrey is quite elegant without being too over the top. marie is because of my mother who died 4 months ago. i'm not sure whether to get rid of the audrey and just call her marie, but then i think its better that she have more of her own identity.

Love love love Audrey, it was on our list. In the end we went with Pearl, which is similarly 'old-fashioned' (in a good way).

Marie sounds quite beautiful I think.
