Zinnia, It's a name that could possibly grow on me , but atm i'm not sure I like it

flooziesusie · 23/03/2009 15:21

Zannah can be a nick name of Susannah.. would it be that wierd for you to use Zinnia as a sort of hybrid? But still call the babe Susannah?

Or am I just being silly now.... hhhmmm

I like both tbh.

RachieB · 23/03/2009 14:49

I quite like it

dont like Susannah

PheasantPlucker · 22/03/2009 18:38

My dd has a big picture on her wall of all the 'alphabet' flower fairies, and Zinnia is particularly nice - so you get my vote based purely on that!

But I do like Susanna too. Makes me think of Handel.

hedgiemum · 22/03/2009 18:27

I think Zinnia is really pretty. actually prefer it to Susannah, which is pretty in its own right but the 2 know are both always called Sooze.

randomname · 22/03/2009 13:29

Prefer Zinnia (although Susanna would have her own song!)

loobylu3 · 22/03/2009 12:26

Susanna is so much nicer!!

dinkymum · 21/03/2009 23:13

I like it!

bringonthetrumpets · 21/03/2009 23:03

haha oh my gosh, i decided when i was around 13 that i was going to name my daughter this after a book that i read called chasing redbird. i still think it's a beautiful name. if you like it then by all means!

Steaknife · 21/03/2009 22:58

I think Zinnia is very pretty but you might want to think about how what it would be shortened to? Zinny? Zi zi?

I also like Susannah.

Please don't try to make a hybrid though - Ziannah or Sunnia

FairLadyRantALot · 21/03/2009 22:55

Zinnia...as in ZSin-ni-ah....or some such thing....hm...not sure, tbh....Zinah would be nicer....

Tidey · 21/03/2009 22:54

LOL Buds I mean. Must remember to preview...

Tidey · 21/03/2009 22:53

I think it was the name of one of the twins from the Darling Bugs of May. Susannah is much prettier imo.

SlartyBartFast · 21/03/2009 22:53

how about Xenia???

dizzydixies · 21/03/2009 22:51

Susannah

piscesmoon · 21/03/2009 22:50

No contest-Susannah

screamingabdab · 21/03/2009 22:41

Susanannh, not zinnia (Sorry)

cece · 21/03/2009 22:09

OK I can now judge.

Susanna wins hands down.

Leannabanana · 21/03/2009 22:07

Susannah.

mrsruffallo · 21/03/2009 22:06

not sure

cece · 21/03/2009 22:05

What was your favourite before this one?

Leannabanana · 21/03/2009 22:04

isn't that just surnames tho? i thought it was a pretty flower name that is unusual with some nice NN potential....Zizi, Zinny etc....that isn't daisy lily or rosie...

MediaLaunch · 21/03/2009 21:59

I'd like to like it for your sake but ...
No, sorry.

Also they say Z's are bad because they're always last in alphabetically order things.

pavlovthecat · 21/03/2009 21:56
