Hector, Hugo, Mungo and Jasper - now we have a whole litter.

If I remember correctly at the end of each episode of HH, Hector would say "I'm a great, big, bad, old Hector"

But then I am very old. Things do come round again. Even the name Hector I guess.

I LOVE Hector.... Hugo is another fave of mine. Use it! do do do!

Leannabanana · 15/04/2009 20:07

pippylongstockings that is so exciting - wow - how does his name get received where you are and where is that IFDMMA?

We watched Twilight with our girls last night and one of the vampires was called Emmet so that has killed that name for me....although holiday makers as emmet....mmmm tres bizarre. x

Yes to Hector, no to William.

pippylongstockings · 13/04/2009 20:30

Late joining a thread - but we have a Hector William!!!

Tis the best name for sure

Please don't call him Emmett.... down here that's what we call holiday makers!

Leannabanana · 13/03/2009 08:21

It's brilliant! Haven't read the whole thread but Hector is a hero's name - tamer of horses, champion of Troy

mrsdisorganised · 13/03/2009 08:06

I like it....

wombleprincess · 13/03/2009 07:54

ridiculous.

nereidesinthemist · 13/03/2009 04:06

Love Hector - very cool manly name, meaning steadfast - our choice if next child is a boy, despite the fact he got knocked off by Achilles, Hector was still damned powerful.

dingledangle · 11/03/2009 15:30

I love the name Hector but this was always going to be my dogs name when I get one! Sorry!

Springhassprung · 11/03/2009 14:46

Love it. We know a Hector and its so perfect for him.

Leannabanana · 11/03/2009 11:27

A Hector Protector is the cod piece you stick down your pants when you play cricket to protect your..erm...Hector.

I couldn't get past that I'm afraid.

Leannabanana · 11/03/2009 11:22

HelpwithNameNeeded · 10/03/2009 19:49

*not go with Leon

HelpwithNameNeeded · 10/03/2009 19:49

Hector does go with Leon at all, definitely better with William

frazzledoldbag · 10/03/2009 12:31

No, Hector William is gorgeous.
Hector Leon is ok, but sounds slightly like 'Herculean' if you say it fast.

Leannabanana · 10/03/2009 12:11

Does Hector Leon sound better than Hector William?

Love Hector, know a Tor too (4) he's a cool little chap

Wheelybug · 08/03/2009 12:43

I adore the name Hector and if dc2 is a boy his middle name will be William. Unforetunately Hector doesn't really go with our surname but if it did this would be my number 1 choice so have it for me please .

Peachy · 08/03/2009 09:17

Now I like Hector, think it has cool potential. When you have a child with a rare name the name and child merge tocreate their own identity which is great IMO (1 of my 4 boys has a rare name).

LoveBuckets · 08/03/2009 08:54

Ooh now I like Hector but not Hugo, think it's the Mexican gangster thing adds edge. Hugo is just a chunky sweater wearing rugger bugger to me - went to uni with far too many of those types.

Leannabanana · 08/03/2009 08:53

one dog does not ruin a name....x
