Erin or Matilda?

I am due in 6 days and think we now only have 2 names left on the short list, don't know which to choose. Our surname is Wilton, which one do you like best? Would probably shorted Matilda to Mattie or Tilly.

Both beautiful names, but I prefer Erin Wilton over Matilda (Tilly) Wilton. The second is a bit or a mouthful...

I have a Mathilda. She is Tilda to us but Mathilda to everybody else.

I do like Erin though.

Love Matilda! My ds would have been called this if he had been a dd!

strictmumof3 · 06/03/2009 15:15

HeyMa · 06/03/2009 14:46

tilly wilton might get tilly willy

preggersplayspop · 06/03/2009 14:45

I think Erin goes best with Wilton. I find Matilda more of a mouthful. Erin is lovely.

FruitynNutty · 06/03/2009 14:34

Matilda is lovely. I love the shortening "Matty" and "Tilda".
"Tilly" is quite popular imo

MrsJamin · 06/03/2009 14:34

Love both, you have good taste. Erin seems to be a bit more serious, so depends whether you want a more girly name like tilly or a girl who could be an MP one day (erin!)

Hulababy · 06/03/2009 14:33

Matilda

goingtohaveagoodnightssleep · 06/03/2009 14:31

I love the name Matilda and have never liked Erin. See what she looks like.

SoupDragon · 06/03/2009 14:27

Erin. I've never been a fan of Matilda.

tibsy · 06/03/2009 14:22

i would say matilda, but thats because it was the name we chose for our bump!!! i like Tilly for short. As we've discovered we're having a boy, its a moot point now
good luck!!
