ds1 is called Bréagh, (pronounced bray)
we have a girls name already but cant think of a boys name that will compliment our son's. we want an irish name as our son's is irish and we dont want a name that someone we know has. any suggestions would be lovely.

Naoise definitely a boys name - pronounced Neesha. People have used it for girls cos it sounds pretty but wrong imo. There's an old story Deirdre agus Naoise.

the word for cheeky is cheeky. a boy called evan is being cheeky.

willowthewispa · 03/03/2009 20:54

Naoise is a boy's name isn't it? I thought it was from a myth.

stleger · 03/03/2009 20:48

No. no casualties. it is about 6 months old. Stick to the Economist, the 'real news' is too crazy for words. Ds and dh read it along with National Geographic!

Oh, Martin Cullen (minister for fun I think, used to be transport) was in a helicopter flying from Killarney to the airport and the door fell off! Imagine if he had fallen out....considers what sort of smiley face to insert...

I like Malachy, I know 2 very cool young Malachys. BUT my great granny had a pet duck called Malachy so couldn't use it.

screamingabdab · 03/03/2009 20:30

Sorry, had to go as hubbie came in and I didn't want him to know I'm on MN AGAIN!

Pleeeese choose Malachy (Malachi?). It was on my list but no possible justification for using it as I am from Essex {smile]

screamingabdab · 03/03/2009 20:24

Malachy

stleger · 03/03/2009 20:10

Thankyou! Weren't you lucky that Kerry wasn't hit by a cabinet minister falling from the heavens last night?

breaghsmum · 03/03/2009 19:45

Setanta is OK in Cork though, because of the blessed O hAlpin family! We considered it for our dog, too! I like Colm.

breaghsmum · 03/03/2009 19:43
