dh thinks this is an old lady name, I think is quite lovely and due a renaissance. Don't want to give a name that's too unusual or old fashioned, what do you think?

Beryl?
Really? Is that a better one than Phyllis? [ponders]

Now, I love old fashioned names, such as Iris, Beryl, Lilian, Edith, Elvira, Agnes. However, even to me Phyllis seems a little too old lady, iyswim. Bit too early for the renaissance, I think

Oh dear, will have to bow to dh's superior judgement. Though there are lots of babies with granny and grandaddy names just now....... (was actually my grans name btw)

I think not. As you ask.

Makes me think 'blue rinse'
But I too love Felicity and Felicia.
Phyllis just sounds grannyish (and not in a good way)

I think it sounds old fashioned, sorry - but for some reason I love Felicity!
