what can Mimi be short for?

I've always wanted a daughter called Cosima, shortened to Mimi, but DH's surname is an object so "Cos I'm a..." is out. any suggestions what else Mimi could be short for, because he's not keen on just Mimi. HELP!!

Usually short for Miriam,Mary or Mimosa.

I used to call my Mia Mimi, but she decided she didn't like it, aged about 2, and kept telling me to stop!

my name is Miriam and I go by Mimi. I also know a Camille and a Marissa who go by Mimi.

My Great grandmother was always called Mimi Her name was Mary Eliza so her initials were M.E. Over time, her siblings called her ME Me and eventually, she was just called Mimi.

What I mean is that even names that aren't traditionally shortened to Mimi, might end up as Mimi.

I also taught a Naomi who was always known as Mimi.

5 have enjoyed my nickname as my name is rather formal sounding ( although i do love my proper name) only REALLY close friends call me it now

Unless pissed when they call me it more

I think the French name Mireille is shortened to Mimi. Pronounced 'Miray'
