Do you like it?

If you do, how would you spell it?

Who digs out these old posts? Milo/ Mylo will be starting school in September looking at the date this was posted!

forgetmenots · 13/04/2013 21:26

Like Milo, not Mylo. How about Miles with Milo as a nn?

thermalsinapril · 13/04/2013 21:15

Milo is a great name.

Can't see anything wrong with the associations either. Chocolate? Fine. Tweenie? Don't watch it, but if you ruled out all TV character names you'd be rejecting quite a few.

tootssweet · 13/04/2013 19:11

My ds is Milo & he's 2 so hardly likely to be of a tweenies generation unless they have a resurgence. Obviously we love it & it suits our boy!

I think every name has its negatives or something that you can be teased for so I don't really care what others say. My dog has a common boys name doesn't make it a bad thing!

dimdommilpot · 13/04/2013 19:00

I have a cat called Milo.

CruCru · 13/04/2013 17:47

I like Milo but it is the name of one of Boris Johnson's sons.

Cupcake0132 · 13/04/2013 16:21

My 12 yr old ds is called mylo. Has never had any tweenies related issues. Seems happy with the name , gets called mylee or smiley miley sometimes.

FairLadyRantALot · 27/01/2009 22:36

To me it's a Jack Russel Terrier name.....however....I do kinda like Milo...but Mylo....nah

noonki · 27/01/2009 21:07

sorry it is horrible.

annasmami · 27/01/2009 12:08

I'm in the Uk, EachPeach, but the Milo I know is from Germany, where it is pronounced Meelo.

SalLikesCoffee · 26/01/2009 22:40

Milo Sorry, will always make me think of this!

ChasingSquirrels · 26/01/2009 22:36

milo is a drinks range, mylo is just wrong.

EachPeachPearMum · 26/01/2009 22:35

annasmami are you in UK or Europe?

annasmami · 26/01/2009 21:16

I know a Milo pronounced Mee-lo (as in Kilo) too...

Tillyscoutsmum · 26/01/2009 20:48

Next door's cat is Milo (definitely how I'd spell it btw). MIL loves the name and kept putting it forward as an option when I was pg

I don't dislike it but do think of it as a pet/tweenie name

EachPeachPearMum · 26/01/2009 20:46

I like Milo, pronounced as Meelo....
I do know a baby Mylo though.....was at the spelling- actually hadn't realised he was spelled that way until I saw it in The Times

mysterymoniker · 26/01/2009 18:54

my cat is called Milo, I love it

plantsitter · 26/01/2009 18:50

My nephew is Milo - I think it's lovely. He's never been subjected to tweenie-based teasing and he is 5 so you might expect it.

Blu · 26/01/2009 18:47

I like Milo.

Frasersmum123 · 26/01/2009 18:45

Its pronounced Mylo

annasmami · 26/01/2009 17:52

Is Milo pronounced as Kilo?

Or is it pronounced Mylo?

I like Milo, but it does remind me of a Tweenie.

suwoo · 26/01/2009 16:49

I love it!! It is on my list, but I would never dare to use it in case he was subjected to years of Tweenie based teasing.

SoupDragon · 26/01/2009 16:45

Mylo is just plain wrong.

I do think of the Tweenies though. Miles is better.
