DH and I have half agreed on Freddie Joseph for a boy.
DS1 is George Edward.
I'm probably only 80% sure that I like Freddie enough, but we can't agree on another name.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I don't think it is posh. It is very common (used a lot not chav!), when ds was a baby there were 6 in his baby music class . I do like it though, I think Freddie is good for a sweet toddler and Fred for a cool teenager.

But PLEASE name him Frederick and call him Freddie from the beginning. It gives him more options.

FCH · 14/01/2009 12:11

our cheery little man...

FCH · 14/01/2009 12:10

We have a Freddie (officially Frederick to give him a choice when he is older) - we love it and it really suits out cheery little man - and people often say they like it...

HensMum · 14/01/2009 12:10

What Moonincancer said. It's a nickname. But it is a nice one!
Joseph is DS's middle name and I love it.

Tortington · 14/01/2009 12:09

go for it

lastboxoftampons · 14/01/2009 12:08

Not a fan, sorry.

moonincancer · 14/01/2009 11:09

oh, and i like it

moonincancer · 14/01/2009 11:07

Alfred or Frederick, Freddie is a nick name

jellybeans · 14/01/2009 09:57

I love it

suwoo · 13/01/2009 22:06

I love it, but my cat got there 1st!

SniffyHock · 13/01/2009 22:03

i love it but have an Eddy so can't really put it on my list!

noonki · 13/01/2009 22:03

you should go for it then

My rl name is a bit posh (foreign mum) but I'm not so I never get a hard time for it (well not much )

kayzr · 13/01/2009 22:02

Love it!!!

My DS1 is Freddie and it is not at all posh!!

A name is not posh but the person is!

TequilaMockinBird · 13/01/2009 22:01

It makes me think 'Krueger'

Sorry

leakyR · 13/01/2009 21:59

It is a bit posh, but we aren't and it goes nicely with George.

I think if I'm defending it, then that's a sign that I like it more than I first thought.

sorry leaky not kreuger

(Flintstone surely would be good no )

I meant its a little bit on the posh side.

leakyR · 13/01/2009 21:43

I had thought of the Weasley thing too!

My surname is (man's name)son and there's no ginger in either family

OP posts:
ohdearwhatamess · 13/01/2009 21:41

Love it. The loveliest boys name imo.

S1ur · 13/01/2009 21:41

Fred is nice enough, freddie for a young child sure why not?

However, I must ask is your surname Weasley? Because then I think Fred and George could be a mistake.

leakyR · 13/01/2009 21:39

Connotations Noonki? Are we talking Flintstone or Krueger or something else? Almost scared to ask.

LoveMyLapTop · 13/01/2009 21:37

Kbear · 13/01/2009 21:36

My nephew is Freddy - suits him. Love the name.

leakyR · 13/01/2009 21:36

Ooh the supermarket test is a good one.
Think it might pass.
