Stanley or Hugo?

We still can't agree on a boys name. DH likes both of these - what do you think? I know Hugo is a bit posh but if it is DS he will be a public school boy anyway so it might work???

Surname is Johnson and will be brother to Charles.

Hugo.

Stanley and Charles don't match. Different class (for want of a better way of saying that doesn't take a page to write)

Stanley is a name for old men from Corrie.

Stanley is awful - Stan the Man!
Hugo is great go with that - good luck xxx

I love Hugo and am seriously considering calling our next DS that ...

Think Stanley is very old man.

Stanislas (shortened to Stan) is much, much nicer than Stanley.

Hugo is a lovely name.

bluebump · 12/01/2009 13:49

I love Hugo, I wanted a Hugo and DP said no!

thumbwitch · 12/01/2009 13:42

HUGO! I love Hugo. Not Stanley.

flamingnora · 12/01/2009 13:41

Stanley. Hugo is so posh it's pretty off-the-scale & sounds very aspirational IMHO. Oh, and I've known a few Hugos who were total numpties...

MannyMoeAndJack · 12/01/2009 13:35

Hugo, reminds me of Hurley from Lost

MadameCastafiore · 12/01/2009 13:10

Hugo

SAEJ · 12/01/2009 12:25

Paddington - DH actually thinks that calling our DS Boris would be 'fun'. I feel Stanley is probably the lesser evil . . .
