what will we do? Where am I going to find a name from? Who wants the dubious honour of picking one for me?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Lulumama · 11/01/2009 20:55

why what happened last night? did you have an ice cream emergency !!

pgwithnumber3 · 11/01/2009 20:54

Oh my little Lulu, I wondered where you were last night! How sweet are you re texting from the hospital, I will get DH to give you a bell if I do my normal "I CAN"T DO IT" mantra!
Thank you darling!

Amelie has been obliterated by the MNner who said that her friend says Amelie is the noughties version of Kylie! Put me right off.

DH quite likes Alyssa. I am going to go through all the names on here with him in a minute and will report back to who makes our Top 10. Everyone hold your breath...

Don't worry about it - we were the same with ds2 - in the end we waited till he was born, chose a name (2 in fact) and then tried them both on for size for a few days and then changed our minds, so we got loads of cards with the wrong name on them. In the end we gave him the name we'd chosen for ds1 and then abandoned as soon as he was born and we realised it didn't suit him at all.

All of which to say, don't stress about it too much - you'll probably choose a name and then change your mind anyway.

SoMuchToBits · 11/01/2009 20:49

I like Juliet, Isabel, Miranda and Rosamond.

But also think Alice is a good name.

Lulumama · 11/01/2009 20:47

WE DECIDED ON AMELIE

have bag of baby things sorted, just need to wash 'em

pgwithnumber3 · 11/01/2009 20:45

dizzy and pinkjenny - SORRY! I LOVE LOVE Alexandra but I am not a fan of Lexie, only because a girl from DH's past called her DD Lexie-Sue and it just put me off the name. Please please please accept my sincere apologies.

LOL at all the replies, I am still here, not having the baby yet thank god as I haven't packed my bag yet. I am still stuck though, songbird has wrecked Alice for me by quoting that awful song! I did fall asleep last night on the sofa!

Do you think I should just called her "she who shall not be named" - Shewho for short?

Seriously, I have a problem, why can't I decide on a name?

I was picked on at school by somebody called Catriona and can't disassociate the name from the person. Hers had the "O" sound pronounced.

loobylu3 · 11/01/2009 17:46

Of course Alice suits a little girl as well as an adult! My sister of nearly 28 years is an Alice. There are lot of other far more 'little girl' names which are poplular at the moment.

Klaw · 11/01/2009 17:29

Catriona ? (pronounced Catrina)

lottiejenkins · 11/01/2009 17:27
