...for my DS2. Opinions pleeeeeeeeeeeease?

DS1 is Charlie btw.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Nancy66 · 07/01/2009 19:02

the OP asked if people thought the name was chavvy for god's sake - others said they did too.

Not obsessed in the least - I am also very complimentary about names I like and happy to make suggestions too.

IllegallyBrunette · 07/01/2009 19:00

I think you should get over your obsession with 'chavvy' names personally.

You could just post and say you didn't like the name, but you always have to add that you think it is chavvy.

tiredemma · 07/01/2009 19:00
Hmm
Nancy66 · 07/01/2009 18:59

Yes and I kick kittens to death too - it's an anoymous website where people ask for opinions - get over it and don't be so bloody touchy

harpomarx · 07/01/2009 18:59

rofl at tiredemma and her delightful Austen novel

IllegallyBrunette · 07/01/2009 18:58

'a downmarket name' you really are a snob Nancy.

Oh and it's IllegallyBrunette. I am not and never have been blonde.

tiredemma · 07/01/2009 18:57

'downmarket name'

what a snob.

Do you poke fun at people on public transport aswell?

tiredemma · 07/01/2009 18:56

Im as rough as houses, yet I sound like a delightful Austen novel.

see???

Nancy66 · 07/01/2009 18:56

No, illegally blonde, I didn't say that - I said that some names have a chavvy connotation. doesn't change the social status of the family it just means their kid has a downmarket name.

stuffedfullofturkey · 07/01/2009 18:55

my son is called riley, its a lovely name and certainly not chavvy thankyou

IllegallyBrunette · 07/01/2009 18:54

I mean, emma isn't consdidered chavvy, but you wanna see me and tiredemma

tiredemma · 07/01/2009 18:53

Nancy66 are you obsessed with the word chavvy?

IllegallyBrunette · 07/01/2009 18:52

So giving someone a name which you feel is a chavvy name, then makes the person chavvy.

How ridiculous.

Nancy66 · 07/01/2009 18:51

I disagree - some names have a chavvy connotation and this is one

IllegallyBrunette · 07/01/2009 18:39

I like it, and I wish you lot going on about it being chavvy would get a grip tbh.

It is the person which makes someone chavvy, not their name.

bossykate · 07/01/2009 18:39

dreadful! sorry but you did ask.

Nancy66 · 07/01/2009 18:37

Not keen - definitely a bit chav too I'm afraid.

GaspodTheWonderDog · 07/01/2009 18:32

A bit chav-tastic for me I'm afraid. Also don't think it goes with Charlie which is a 'classic' name.

I like it regardless of perceived chav status

GossipMonger · 07/01/2009 18:25

chav

2 kids at school called Riley - very chavvy!

BabyBaby123 · 07/01/2009 18:23

slightly chavvy but not as much as Harley, Harvey etc....

janeite · 07/01/2009 17:44

No, I don't like it at all, sorry.

Thunderduck · 07/01/2009 17:42

Me too. I detested that character which probably doesn't help.

Tortington · 07/01/2009 17:41
