I like the name Honey but not sure whether it's a bit brave?

Any thoughts?
My mum actually suggested it and I do think it's a really pretty name and like my mum said, how could your little girl not be a little cutie with a name like Honey?
But I'm quite boring and not sure if it's a bit unusual, I've never heard of anyone else called Honey, apart from the girl in the film!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

jonathan ross has a honey kinney I think
gail porter and jamie oliver both have one too

I don't mind it but wouldn't personally use it as all my girls were bruisers and couldn't carry off something like Lily, Grace, Honey iyswim?

Because it's so unusual, I immediatley think of where I've heard it before. So I jump to a character in Eastenders, a character in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf (was that the film you're talking about?) - both characters I don't like and which would INITIALLY put me off choosing the name.

Oh, and a Blue Peter Dog?

But they're only immediate connections. I know an older girl called Scarlet before it became popular and thought was unusual at first, and I only knew of Scarlet O'Hara at the time! But names just fit people after you've got to know them well and they wouldn't suit anything else. Honey will be a lovely name!

Hasn't Jonathan Ross got a Honey? I'd use it as a middle name if you loveit. It fails the Grown-Up Job test, I think

I have a friend who's dd has it for a second name and it really suits her and goes well with her first name.

bit tricky with the character who has just recently left Eastenders being called Honey.

I have a friend whose daughter's second name is Honey, that's not so bad...

Honestly, I don't like it at all, it's unusual for a reason IMO.

Gail Porter's daughter is called Honey I think.
