Spelling Advice Please: Ruben or Reuben?

Hi there...

Already settled on Reuben/Ruben as name of DS1..so PLEASE no negative comments on the name (positive ones always welcome hehe), because we're happy with it.

However, can't decide which way to spell it & would love some advice.

a)REUBEN = it's the traditional root of the name, is Hebrew in origin (which suits his heritage), looks more symmetrical?, would it be tricky to spell/say or do you think it's manageable?

b)RUBEN = a)easier to spell & pronounce?? b)poss less likely to get shortened to 'Ben' (which wouldn't want, prefer Ru or Rube) c)Spanish origin which is no reflection on his background

really interested in your advice

xx

I really like it and would definitely go for the traditional way. I really don't think it's that hard to spell.

Oh, you have chosen my favourite boys name. DH didn't like it or Ds would def have been Reuben. Personally I would go with the trad way but either way it's gorgeous. Congratulations BTW
