Dd's class has 2 children called:

Emily
Nadia
Alex (boy)
Nikita (boy)
Cameron

Apart from Emily, I would have thought these names were fairly uncommon. Just curious to see which are the most popular names in your childs' school.

I love the name Sophie - I have boys so never had the chance to use it - but I always thought it was too popular. But in 11 years of parenthood I have never come across a child called it. One or two Sophias but not Sophie. Ditto Jack - I do know one Jack but it’s not anywhere near as common as I would have thought. Quite wish I’d used it!

@HappyDaysToCome

Only just realised this is from 2008!!
Oh yes! I imagine name trends have changed since then! I did think that Chloe and Olivia seemed slightly ten years ago!
Wincher · 18/06/2021 23:21

My kids’ school is very multicultural so there is a big variety of names and neither of them have any duplicate names in their classes. At one stage there seemed to be loads of girls called any of Eva, Evie, Ava,Isabelle, Bella, Belle, Edie etc. There are quite a few of Otis and Arlo. There seems to be an Emily (but only one) in every class.

Terrazzo · 18/06/2021 23:14

Ooh that reminds me, I know two Lily-Anns (spelled like that, not Lilian).

bonbonours · 18/06/2021 23:13

I once had an extra curricular group of 4 kids. Two were called Evie and one Aoife.

bonbonours · 18/06/2021 23:11

Apparently two Lilly's (obviously popular name but unusual spelling) and two Darcie's...

Pumpkinstace · 18/06/2021 23:09

No dupes but we have a Molly, a Polly and a Dolly all in the same class

HappyDaysToCome · 18/06/2021 23:09

Only just realised this is from 2008!!

HappyDaysToCome · 18/06/2021 23:08

Elpheba · 18/06/2021 23:03

MyNameForToday1980 · 18/06/2021 23:02

Like several others were riven with permutations of Isabel and Sophia.

MysteriousMonkey · 18/06/2021 22:58

Jess / Jessie / Jessica - at one point my daughter had 4 friends called Jess. Oddly it was also one of my first choices for my older girl but I don't even remember seeing it in the top 100.

ImbarbaraB · 18/06/2021 22:56

My sons class has three children called Reuben

I didn’t think that was common before hand

Curlyshabtree · 18/06/2021 22:49

No duplicates in my Y2 class, but strangely some very 1970s names, a Kelly, Angela, Deborah and Diana.

Wbeezer · 18/06/2021 22:08

My kids are older but DC1s class has 3 Camerons and 3 Rachels and DC2s class had three Meghans and Three Callums. DC3s class only had 2 Daniels.
