And a Destiny.

We also know of Tenessee, Atlanta, Princess, Precious, Ikea (pronounced Ika allegedly) and Tia-Maria. I kid you not.

mogwai · 12/12/2008 22:05

I do know somebody who has a "brock" and a "braden". Rather unusual but you sort of get used to it.

Popsy, on the other hand, will never grow on me.

IN germany Sascha (pronounced Sasha) is more commonly known as a boys names....only once moving to the UK did I realsie that it could be a girlsname...!

Actually there is a boy in ys sons class, who is eastern european, so, it is obvioulsy a name in that culture that is totally acceptable...but he is called Gleb and I can't help but thing of Phlegm...don't know why it makes me think of Phlegm, though....it just does...

catweazle · 11/12/2008 21:44

ladyr post your children's names on here so we can all laugh then... my DD's middle name is Storm and I don't find it remotely ridiculous thank you.

What I find ridiculous is when people pick the number one name, especially when it's been the same for a number of years. A name is meant to identify you. How can it do that when there are 5 other kids in your class with the same name?

combustiblelemon · 11/12/2008 18:12

I've always thought of Sasha as a boy's name. I'd expect a Sasha to be a boy

Gemzooks · 11/12/2008 17:40

Sasha is one of the commonest boy's names in Russia, it's like being called James or Chris or something.. short for Alexander.

TLESinChristmasStockings · 11/12/2008 16:52

lol i still think sasha is an odd name for a boy....imo.
