I have a VERY unusual name. In fact its so unusual that if I told you and you googled it the only thing that would come up would be my Facebook profile (I tried it......so as I may need to post incognito one day I can't tell you.

Anyway despite not being paricularly thrilled with my name when I was a teenager, I love it now and would love to name forthcoming DC's with something unusual.

What are the most unusual names you have heard of for both sexes???

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Braxton is actually a twin - his sister is named Tayla. His Mum told me that she had never heard of braxton hicks until afterwards when people told her what they were.

AussieLou · 17/11/2008 12:55

I met a Brett on the weekend....it was a girl.

Megglevache · 17/11/2008 12:35

We have a few Spikes here- not unusual, nor Montys and I have met three Rollos lately that is very old fashioned isn't it?

Oh and nearly forgot I was introduced to a very smug yummy mummy who told me her son was called Ché and expected a huge reaction from me. I just went oh is he named after anyone in your family and she very brusquely said no and wen to find little Evita.

That last name was a fib but Che wasn't.

Last week I heard the name AXELLA (girl's name). Which I have to say, I wasn't keen on.

Other ones:
Fame (girl)
Merlin (boy)- although this doesn't seem weird to me anymore.
Spike (boy)
Buster(boy)
