Middle name for Eliza

I love the names Sarah and Iris, but I don't think they work with Eliza, too many vowel sounds. Would love your opinions of;

Eliza Darcy
Eliza Wilow
Eliza Constance
Eliza Scarlet
Eliza Phoebe
Eliza Daisy
Eliza Mai/May

Last name is long.

Jane. It's the only one.

I think they all go fine with Eliza though would not go for Darcey because of the Pride and Prejudice connection. (Also personally am not keen on Willow.)

I really think it depends upon your (and your partner's) taste in names. If you want a classic (and nice) but not v imaginative combination, go for Rose/ Jane/ May, etc.
If you want something a little different then I think Scarlett and Hope are both great.

Actually we are also expecting DC3 (a girl) and Eliza is top/ near top of my list an my favourite combination (before I saw yours) was Eliza Scarlett.
I also really like Eliza Constance, Eliza Maude, Eliza Grace, Eliza Hope but this is my personal taste only!

Good luck deciding.

Eliza Jane is the prettiest and classiest I think

Out of the ones you now have on your list, either Rose or Grace would be best.

superfrenchie1 · 04/10/2008 22:44

oh sorry you said you didn't like Anne! i am a div

superfrenchie1 · 04/10/2008 22:44

...going with the 1-syllable thing as Eliza is 3-syllables and you say the surname is long... otherwise would be a bit of a mouthful? i think there are enough nice short sweet 1-syllable names to choose for a middle name...

superfrenchie1 · 04/10/2008 22:42

I like
Eliza Rose
Eliza Grace
Eliza Hope
Eliza Ruth
Eliza Anne
Eliza Belle
Eliza Mae

One syllable.... ok
Jane and Anne not working for me though, so
Eliza Rose

What have you got as a middle Mytether?

Lil' Liza Jane!

I think a one-syllable name would be better.

mytetherisending · 04/10/2008 22:09

Eliza Lilly or Rose

mytetherisending · 04/10/2008 22:09

Eliza may is my dd1s name Great choice of first name!

Lubyloo · 04/10/2008 22:08

Eliza May is my favourite.

How about Eliza Jayne? ELiza Anne?

missblythe · 04/10/2008 22:08

Constance is lovely, as is Grace

SoMuchToBits · 04/10/2008 22:07

Eliza Jane

We have a couple of these in my family.

My great-great-grandmother was an Eliza Jane, and she was a great lady!

Liking Grace too

I am honestly happy to go with majority decision on this one (from original list obviously - to which I am adding Grace)
