For me it's Silas - it reminds me of the adventure programmes I used to watch as a kid. I think one of my first crushes must have been on a character called Silas.

I did suggest it for DS1 (vetoed by DP), but thinking about it I wouldn't want to call my son Silas and I can't really explain why.

Does anybody else have a name that they wouldn't use, but really like nonetheless...?

Really like Daisy but think it's a bit cute and little girly. Not so sure how it'd sound at 40!

I always liked Gabriel for aboy and Andromeda for a girl, but knew I would never be allowed to use them!

Recently I've been doing a lot of family tree research and have discovered a lot of "Ozias" es in the family. I wish now I'd used Ozias in ds's name, not as a first name, but maybe a middle name.

He is 7 now, and likes his name, but also likes Ozias.

I admitted on here to liking Cressida and was told it was off-the-scale of ponciness. Also liked Meriel till I told one friend I liked it and she mocked it.

Would have loved to have used a Cornish name (Morwenna and Columb would be my favourites) but dh having none of it.
