neither

if yoiu have a long surname I think you're better off with a short name (and not a surname). I plump for John

Weegiemum · 19/08/2008 11:00

kk you must be feeling awful since practically noone likes it.

Sorry!

Weegiemum · 19/08/2008 10:44

neither. a case of tth (trying too hard)

MaryAnnSingleton · 19/08/2008 10:40

neither

kiskidee · 19/08/2008 10:39

neither. they are surnames.

artichokes · 19/08/2008 10:35

Neither, I really do not like them. If I had a gone to me head I would choose Carter purely because I loved Dr Carter on ER.

MatBackFack · 19/08/2008 10:35

I really like both. Mason getting a bit common but Carter is good - reminds me a bit of ER that is all. I like surnamey names - my ds2 has one!

wellbalanced · 19/08/2008 10:33

If i had to choose it would be mason, but not too sure i like it... Sorry

notnowbernard · 18/08/2008 12:46

Carter - makes me think of Unstoppable Sex Machine

Mason - makes me think of Mason Verger, really horrible character in one of the Silence of the Lambs books

Sorry

pagwatch · 18/08/2008 12:45

oh no. terrible. really terrible

hellebores · 18/08/2008 12:44

Lordy no! They are not even NAMES!!!

Please have a long hard look at these threads and think what you are doing. 'Trying too hard' doesn't do this justice.

You have a nice sounding surname - there are plenty of lovely real names out there that are not overused yet.

good luck!

branflake81 · 18/08/2008 12:21

No! they are both surnames.

Both sound like surnames. Carter particularly awful.
