This name thing is really irritating me, I go through lists on the internet and they just blur into mush.

So if everyone just posts their 5 favorites here I may actually find something I like!

Oh I wish someone would do one of these for boys as both DH & I have always struggled with them!

my 5 have been mentioned several times already. For slightly different but how about Jasmine, darcy, Rhiannon, malia, Adriana, Ettienne, Delphine, Montana, Dakota, Delilah, Deanna, Brianna, Payton, Thalia, Marissa etc etc

I have an americanised baby names book if you want any more in that vein!!

Good luck

Devon

LongLiveCuckoo · 17/08/2008 20:04

Dizzy I think Coco would be a lovely nn from Cordelia.

LongLiveCuckoo · 17/08/2008 20:03

Nelle is Ellen backwards, and I think it could be a nn for Annabel, especially if you spell it Annabelle. Somebody likes 'Nelle' I think. Nelle on its own not enough jmo.

Any eureka moments yet Disenchanted?

Nell can be used on its own or short for Penelope or Eleanor

LongLiveCuckoo · 17/08/2008 19:59

Could Phoebe Eloise be 'Bel' as a pet name?

LongLiveCuckoo · 17/08/2008 19:59

Mentioned Phoebe twice! Obviously I really love that one.

LongLiveCuckoo · 17/08/2008 19:58

Hard to say just five, but I'm thinking of names I would actually have used, not just had on a list.

Also loving Annabel, Susannah, Meredith, Phoebe, Verity and Elizabeth as already suggested.

Five new ones

Phoebe
Flora
Vivien
Lydia
Juliet

I also like the following names but I don't think I could ever narrow down them down to the number one position 'this is the one name for ever' : Mabel, Dulcie, Polly, Maggie, Greta, Jemma, Nancy, Lois, Poppy.

gingerninja · 17/08/2008 19:58
