The Eddie Stobart Method (for girls)

I have struck upon a rich seam indeed.

Struggling to find the perfect name for your daughter?

Torn between traditional or unusual?

Tearing your hair out on the mn baby name threads?

Use the Eddie Sobart Method.

Get in car.

Drive on motorway.

Come alongside Eddie Stobart lorry.

Read name of lorry on front (R) hand corner (just in front of drivers door, near the bumper).

There you go.

You cannot back out when you have seen your name. The method is all about chance and living on the edge.

For those of you who do not drive, or are not living in the UK, or do not like motorways, or trucks, I have come up with the variant MN Eddie Stobart Method.

Helpful mners will post on this here thread the name they have just spotted on their most recent journey.

Using your Google Variant on the ESM my next dd will be called Bernice, which I actually rather like.

Alternative for those who cannot drive.

select www.google.co.uk

Put in the search term "eddie stobart"

Don't click on search.

Above the google text box click on "Images" instead. Then click on the button "Search images"

Throw two dice. If you have two even or two odd numbers add the numbers together. If you have an odd and an even number subtract the smaller number from the larger number. Let this number be X.

Now look at the images that Google has brought up for you. Going from left to right as if reading a book count until you have picked the picture.

Your daughter will have the name of the vechicle you have selected. If no name is visable or its a picture of Eddie Stobart then your daughter is to be called Edwina..

re:googling, I gave up when I realised how sad it was but no, couldn't find any pictures that were close up enough to tell.

Myrtle is good (but does not exactly confirm to the true ESM).

Norbert is better. If I had a son I would call him Norbert with middle name Dentressangle for good measure.

I had a Mini called Myrtle and would be delighted to pass the name on to a deserving MNetter's baby.
