Maybe Beth?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

cheers IK!

ivykaty, intersting because beyond 100, most people haven't a clue if a name is really popular or not. Lot's of people think that Flora and Esme are really unusual. I reckon they're about 101!!

use ancestry - but use the databases from 1984-2005 for births and mariages

norkmaiden · 08/08/2008 22:10

IK do you have a link? Are you using some sort of ancestry site? (can't see it on national statistics site - maybe I've missed it?!)

ivykaty44 · 08/08/2008 22:05

look at marriages for Eng&Wales online and just input the name - they then appear in alphabetical order. You can do this aswell to see if a name( on the births) is popular or uncommon, some names are not as uncommon as you think when you input them on the births between 1984-2005

One of my DDs is Elizabeth, which must be the most timeless of timeless names.
Also

Victoria
Anna
Rebecca(know a 50 yr old,25 yr old and 11 yr old)

I went to school with Karen, Deborah, Susan, Helen, Nicola, Wendy, David, Ian, Peter.... no Amelias or Emilies or Bens

I teach 11-18, and teach lots of Amelias, Emilies, Bens,

I was going through an exam class the other day, some of the names included Paige, Jorden, Sherrelle, Scarlett, Keira, Kayleigh...totally different names to when I was at school...........

I have siblings/cousins called David, Richard, Timothy, Andrew, Jonathan, Elizabeth & James (but also Alan, Robin, Sally & Yvonne - 50s or what!)

DCs/nieces/nephews are Andrew, another Andrew, Hannah, Joseph, Sarah, Jessica, Thomas, Daniel, Samuel, Alexander, Jennifer, Frances & Helen (and a rogue Carly )

fishie · 08/08/2008 21:04

malory i bet all your family's names are on those room plaques, pens, little poems on name meaning etc.

most of my family have entirely stolid names but somehow all of them have been buggered about with, so no 'personalised' mugs for us i have spent much time twiddling those stands in vain.
