frazzledoldbag34 · 06/08/2008 19:52

Maribel is pretty.
Although it kind of makes me think of the ski resort - Meribel?

CuckooClockWorkOrange · 06/08/2008 19:50

That is a lovely list. LOVE all of them except for the ones I just like!

As well as Christabel, I like Maribel. What do you think? NOW< I like Marianne, but it wouldn't have excited me 6 yrs ago. Now I like it. Marianne Christabel with Maribel for short!

3andnomore · 06/08/2008 19:46

I agree with whomever said it.....why have a middlename aat all?
My boys all have 2 mn's, however, they are all names with family connections....however, I have no mn and well, I am o.k., lol....Lydia Sales sounds like a lovely name

frazzledoldbag34 · 06/08/2008 19:31

By the way the other names on my list would be:
Topaz
Felicity
Eliza
Christabel
Annabella
Matilda
Emerald
Scarlett
Daisy
Esme
Camilla
I'll probably have a boy though
You can still call a boy Christabel though can't you???

Anyway those are my thoughts......for what they're worth

frazzledoldbag34 · 06/08/2008 19:27

What about your christian name, your mum's or his mum's name or another family name you like? Or your maiden name (obviously depending on what it is?
Or do you not have a second choice first name for Lydia that you can use as a second name?
There are masses of lovely names out there that would sound good ..... I'd definitely chooose a second name.
Love Lydia by the way. It's fab. (and on my list too!!!)

My gorgeous Lydia is a Lydia Catherine

clairebear88 · 06/08/2008 16:06

Hi

Gorgeous name ( its on my list too ) I would have Rose as a middle name as its a family name even though i know its popular but it goes so well with Lydia

2point4 · 06/08/2008 15:58

Teapot? Sorry, couldn't resist! I think Lydia is a beautiful name but had a girl in class at school who was always nicknamed Lydia Teapot (or dustbin) ...

roccoco · 06/08/2008 15:48

Anne is unusual, but I would put a name that starts with a consonant not a vowel after lydia, and preferably, a name that doesn't also end in 'a'.

Lydia Jane or Lydia Margaret sound good imo. Rose is ubiquitous as a mn, so I will suggest Rosemary. Lydia Rosemary. That is more my cup of tea (with a cucumber sandwich).

Lydia Maggie, Lydia Beth? What are your family names.

Anna, Annie, Alice, Emily, none of those are going to work because the vowel sounds run in to eachother.

roccoco · 06/08/2008 15:45

Lydia is gorgeous. That was on my list for my son

I suggest Lydia Joy or Lydia Maeve

Somebody suggested Lydia Rachel and that sounds good too.

HolidaysQueen · 06/08/2008 15:40

Why do you need a middle name? If you can't think of one instantly that you like or that is a family name then why bother? I think Lydia Sales is a gorgeous name as it stands I don't have a middle name and have never ever needed one or felt that I've missed out by not having one. My parents couldn't think of a name to go with my first name and they don't have middle names either so they decided there was no point trying to force it and I've coped just fine without

MaryMungo · 06/08/2008 15:40

Anyone who hears "Her name is Lydia Noelle" and chooses to hear it as "No 'L'" is taking the pss, and will take the pss no matter which name you choose, so I would take no notice of them whatsoever
