I like it, DH does and most important my dearest mother gives it her seal of approval!

What the general opinion on it though as I haven't heard it used very often?

Am not entirely sure - DH likes it but I wasn't convinced as name for DC2

not a bad name but I associate it with middle-aged men

belgo · 28/07/2008 11:59

Not so keen on Guy. It's pronounced 'Ghee' in flemish, which sounds awful. It also reminds me of the last belgian prime minister.

Love it there's a fella at my work called Guy and he is hot. (Far too young and gorgeous for me unfortunately).

Oh and do you remember that beautiful Elton John song 'A Song for Guy' I know the lyrics are sad but the music is beautiful.

Go for it.

janeashersbookofspacecakes · 27/07/2008 23:55

Yes good choice and not currently overpopular.

singersgirl · 27/07/2008 23:52

I think it's a great name. I have a close relative called Guy.

suedonim · 27/07/2008 23:32

Great name, I really like it!

Springflower · 27/07/2008 23:27

Like it

ranting · 27/07/2008 23:26

Well the one I know was fairly gorgeous, I have to say, although not my type (too clean cut). I like my men with a 'touch of the night' about them

MarmadukeScarlet · 27/07/2008 23:25

ranting, I thought that earlier!

'my Guy' (so to speak) drives a soft top Audi TT

LongLiveGreenElizabeth · 27/07/2008 23:20

like it

blueskythinker · 27/07/2008 23:20

I had a childhood friend called Guy - I adored him, and have always loved the name since.

ranting · 27/07/2008 23:09

Am now wondering how many of us know the same 'guy'

Millarkie · 27/07/2008 22:57

It's a great name. I know a particularly gorgeous Guy.

(but not if pronounced Goo-ie, as one of my friend's friends named her baby)

pgwithnumber3 · 27/07/2008 22:50

I hope if I have a DS called Guy, he lives up to the name!
