I like it, DH does and most important my dearest mother gives it her seal of approval!

What the general opinion on it though as I haven't heard it used very often?

Doh. Have just noticed this is an antique thread.

Guy is a posh cad who leaves a trail of broken sloaney hearts all over Chelsea and Kensington.

Rachelhaydenberk1 · 17/03/2019 15:56

I'm not a fan. It feels like parents couldn't find an actual name - just Guy? But I'm American and I know certain name trends are different.

Ds (17) best friend is a Guy. Only one in the school. Its a really cool name

pineapplebryanbrown · 17/03/2019 01:37

Love it, cool and sexy.

Yika · 15/03/2019 22:42

Lovely name, just slightly posh in a good way but also strong.

I know a Guy - he's tall, dark, toned and absolutely gorgeous.. Definitely successful... Mmm, I used to have a huge crush on him at school.

pgwithnumber3 · 28/07/2008 21:23

I think we are quite stuck on the name Guy now, definitely a first for me as my last two pregnancies, we could never decide on a boy's name. Will be interesting to see if this means I am having a boy!

Same, Dittany. The Guy I knew at uni was heart-stoppingly beautiful.

My son is called Guy, so obviously I love it and have found that is is nicely unusual without being wierd.

Bet you've never met an unsuccessful Guy either have you? They all seem to be very upmarket.

geekgirl · 28/07/2008 16:14

it's quite unusual without being odd, imo. I don't know any other Guys personally.

MrsSprat · 28/07/2008 16:13

I know a couple of Guys in their 30s. It's a cool name.

Guy Ritchie is the only horrid celeb Guy I think of, which is not too bad. He'll be well down the dumper before it matters to a 2008 baby.

lilolilmanchester · 28/07/2008 16:09

I love it. Cute for a little one and sexy for a grown up.

geekgirl · 28/07/2008 16:06

and he's not RnB's ex, I hasten to add

geekgirl · 28/07/2008 16:05

dh is a Guy Alexander

he's most certainly not gay

he's on the cusp of middle age though being 38

hattyyellow · 28/07/2008 16:04

I love the name Guy. Would have been my first choice if we'd had a boy.
