We've decided on Damien if it's a boy and Lilith if it's a girl. Both sides have been so negative about these choices so just looking for a little positivity.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
GivingUpGivingIn · 25/04/2026 15:38

Well, kids are demons at different ages in any case. Or crotch goblins.
I do need to rewatch Lucifer. Loved that show.

Hopefully you will have twins and can use both names at the same time.

Perhaps that'll be the update.

Damian is a good solid name and the spelling i would use because... why would you use Damien unless you are satanists / cant spell.

Lilith is just very elderly / wet / precious.
Sorry but its not great lily is a million times better.

YY to Beelzebub 😅😅😅😅

Edited

Lilith is just very elderly / wet / precious.

If only that were it: Lilith is at least as "tainted" as Damien and I suspect the OP knows this very well.

So many goady threads of late.

lol, I assume you are joking. It’s a bit early for wine

Perhaps she’s been in the sun. Oh no wait. Satanists don’t sunbathe.

Bigearringsbigsmile · 25/04/2026 15:35

What about Lucifer for a middle name?

SunnyAfternoonToday · 25/04/2026 15:35

Beezlebub = Bee or Bub = good nicknames

SoScarletItWas · 25/04/2026 15:34

Lucifer not go with your surname?

GivingUpGivingIn · 25/04/2026 15:34

Well there's the very successful and wealthy Damien Hirst.
With a different spelling you have delectable Damian Lewis. Damian was good enough for Liz Hurley. Although many did claim the devil's spawn connotation as deliberate on her part.
It is not ubiquitous.
Lilith I can only think of Frasier but barely any of my teens will know either reference for your choice of names so I wouldn't worry. Nicknames like Damo and Lil might be used but that happens to every baby name.

School holidays again already?

OttersOnAPlane · 25/04/2026 15:33

Mephistopheles has a lovely ring to it

zxzx6576 · 25/04/2026 15:33

Beelzebub not take your fancy?

Thatpastalife · 25/04/2026 15:31

I learned, thaf if you’ve decided names; not to tell those close to you as everyone has “opinions” even on traditional names. Your child, your choice.

Foundress · 25/04/2026 15:31

Don’t be silly.

SunnyAfternoonToday · 25/04/2026 15:30

Please don't saddle your children with these names! I'm not surprised you've been met with negativity.

CelticSilver · 25/04/2026 15:30

Sure, Jan.
