Thoughts on top 4 names

For a girl -
we like Ebony , middle name rose
second choice Paris ( no middle name ideal)

boy - Tristan
second choice Bradley ( although I’m not 100%)
also like lex ( just lex not short for anything)

to go with sibling Caleb

please let me know which you like best or another suggestion thank you

Afraid I agree with the majority - Tristan is a fabulous name, as is Caleb. Ebony reminds me of the Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder eighties song, Ebony and Ivory. I hear PPs saying they know white Ebonies but … how about Isolde?

Ebony - no. Same reason as pp.
middle name rose - just like nearly all other girls
Paris - middle name France, Texas or Hilton?

Emony is too lemony and hasn't been used between 1996 and 2024. Looks made up.

Tristan - fine
Bradley - 1970s name
Lex - fine but looks like it's short for something. Vehicle Leasing | Lex Autolease

Yes I think we are agreed Tristan for a boy .

Will need to have a think for girls name as none jump out what’s been suggested

Don't mind Tristan if you're solidly middle class. Confused as to why you'd consider Bradley? As others have pointed out white people probably shouldn't be calling their kids Ebony. Perhaps a rethink might be in order.

Tristan is lovely (as is Caleb). Sorry but I don’t like either Ebony or Paris. Rose as a first name though is perfect.

It would be horrible for a white girl to go through school saddled with the name Ebony.

I used to know a very white pony called Sooty, but foals that are born black do change coat colour. Humans, not so much.

Paris is a dog’s name. Unless you’re Paris Hilton, and who wants that association?

Rose is nice though.

Tristan is lovely. Bradley isn’t.

I've known a few girls called Ebony, and all white. Surely anyone can use it. It's a name like Scarlett and Ruby and Amber and Emerald, and anyone uses them. Just like a Summer or a May can be born at any time. I like Ebony and think it works fine as Caleb's sister. I'm not keen on Paris.

Ebony is nice if you are black. Otherwise it feels off.
Tristan is lovely- Bradley makes me think of the overweight middle aged guy in HR everyone refers to when the husband is having an affair at work.

girls name I’m open to ideas we both do like ebony rose but we are white and some people are saying it’s a no to name a white child ebony .
