How will Elliot be shortened?

DH and I really like the name Elliot should our sproglet turn out to be a boy, but think this might get shortened to Elli (which sounds like girl's name Ellie) once he is at school etc.

Does anyone know any Elliots and if so, what are they shortened to, if anything?

I work with a guy called Elliot, we call him Ells.

I know 2 elliots but non of them get shortened.
