Cornish Girls Names

We are looking to give our DD2 a Cornish
name (DH's roots) but do not live England anymore, so I've no idea of what's popular in Cornwall. I currently like Tamara or Tamsin, but I've also heard Zena is Cornish but I can't find any info on the internet. Can anyone from Cornwall confirm this?

I'm called Loveday! Not strictly Cornish myself, but Cornish is in my family in the not so distant past and lived there since I was 7. So nice to have such a different name :)

I used to know a Loveday, not sure if she had Cornish roots, at the time I just thought her parents must've been hippies!

Zennor is a cornish name. Not Zena. Althought I have also seen it spelt Zenna or Zennah. But the spelling is usually Zennor, like the village.

hi cheesesarnie, we live in south cornwall by the lizard, we moved here last autumn.
the book we had said to pronounce elowen- el-low-en but have also seen it as el-lo-wen and el-low-an

Kerensa is actually Cornish for love. wil spend whole life spelling it but it is worth it everytime you tell someone new what your name is and the reaction is always " that is a beautiful nam"

Lowenna is lovely. A girl with that name did my nails in Cornwall in May and I have loved it ever since.... got it in running for dd3, but DH not persuaded - yet.
