Claudia or Daisy?

Hi all- first time I've found/posted on this site and gutted as a bit late (baby due 5/6).

Need some help please, both hubby and I like both these names, hubby slightly prefers Daisy and I think I prefer Claudia but to be honest we like both of them and really cannot decide - getting quite close to due date and we keep changing our minds on which one we will be 100% happy with.
What do you all think - Daisy is more popular (3 in my area) so should this put us off?
Opinions please......

Claudia, Daisy is v pretty but there are just loads of them around these days

IPFYML, DS1 has requested nursery staff refer to him using his first, middle and surname because "that is his name" - and they are. And his name is one no other child in the school shares So if you have a small eccentric child, they might refer to themselves using their full name anyway!

Daisy is lovely for a small child I really like the name.

Claudia though is a lovely name that I feel will last a lifetime.

I've never met another Daisy tbh but I think one of Jamie Oliver's is Daisy - maybe it's more popular "down south"?!

SmoothandWilkie - as for Daisy being "wet" she certainly was today, cos it's siled it down all day!

i love daisy. but if it bothers you to have a popular name, then go with claudia. think hearing people call daisy in the supermarket, think daisy coming home from nursery referring to herself as 'daisy surname' cos there's 2 of them and she thinks 'daisy surname' is her name....

a (without) melia (limbs), it's a medical term, probably v old and little used now, like focomelia for children born after Thalidomide (limbs like seals). But I still think Amelia is a beautiful name and it wouldn't bother me. Claudia's meaning or any other doesn't either (not keen on Adolf, though).

I love Claudia (have a very good friend called Claudia). Agree with pinkorblue in that Claudia is a strong name. I do wondee about all these girls' names that are around - they are all very pretty but in 25 years time are all these Millies, Mollies, Poppies, Daisies going to be the barristers, doctors, jusges etc? They are all a bit twee IMO

Claudia.

There are so many Daisy's in dd's school and it appears as an animal's name in stacks of stories. Sweet for a 5-year-old girl but not so hot when you're in your 20's and pursuing a career.

Both pretty, but I can't imagine an adult Daisy. Claudia is strong but feminine, fab name.
